Permanent Residence Declined
R - A young man from Sri Lanka - had invested in his education by studying a level 7 business course in Auckland at the exorbitant international fees. He then secured a job as a dry cleaning manager. Using a Licensed Immigration Adviser, he later applied for a Skilled Migrant Residence Visa but was declined on the basis that he was a supervisor not a manager. He later appealed but his appeal was not successful so he continued working on his valid Work Visa. Despondent, a friend recommended that he present his papers to GB Immigration Ltd for comment and advice on the way forward.
GB Immigration Ltd worked with R and his employer to ensure that his next application would meet all of INZ requirements and in May 2015 R was granted his Residence Visa under the Skilled Migrant Category and has just recommended a close friend to contact GB Immigration Ltd.

Not a Religious Worker
L and her husband moved to New Zealand from South Africa many years back. Her husband had been the principal applicant as a truck driver but each time he renewed his work visa the driver category got more strict until it dropped of the skilled occupation list. With one of their two children now born in NZ and no more options for her husband, L applied for a Religious Worker visa as she qualified for one, and was approved. After 2 years she re-applied but was advised that she would likely be denied.
She was recommended to GB Immigration Ltd and arrived with her husband, despondent and in an absolute panic.
After working with L's employer and accurately presenting L's situation to INZ, L was granted a second RW Visa and has approached GB Immigration Ltd to proceed with her Residence visa in the next few months.
